Job description
Microsoft is hiring Solution Area Specialists to drive strategic engagements with education customers across the Middle East and Africa, aligning Microsoft’s cloud and AI solutions with customer needs. This role involves leading sales strategies, assessing opportunities, managing partner engagements, and positioning Microsoft as the trusted advisor in cloud and AI adoption. The specialist will work with senior stakeholders, drive digital transformation, and ensure long-term partnerships through AI-driven insights and secure cloud adoption. The position requires technical expertise in cloud platforms, competitive market knowledge, and the ability to guide customers through large-scale cloud engagements, including data migration and modernization projects.

Key responsibilities
- Lead discussions with senior stakeholders and decision makers for high-value customers to identify, qualify, and accelerate sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with teams on whitespace analysis and identify market gaps within the assigned market.
- Lead sales strategy tailored to customer priorities, aligning Microsoft’s AI-powered solutions with customer needs.
- Drive partner team collaboration and co-selling strategies across opportunities.
- Assess and qualify sales opportunities, ensuring alignment with AI-enhanced methodologies and best practices.
- Partner across internal organizations to drive deal orchestration and seamless lifecycle handoffs.
- Lead sales pipeline reviews, ensuring forecasting accuracy with AI-powered analytics tools.
- Coach teams on achieving pipeline hygiene and monitoring adoption trends for predictable renewals.
- Serve as key contact for senior stakeholders to strategically drive customer success.
- Engage with account teams to align AI transformation vision with customer business priorities.
- Integrate security principles in customer engagements to maintain compliance and trust.
- Lead cross-organizational partnerships to enable AI- and cloud-driven transformations.
- Act as subject matter expert and trusted advisor to distinguish Microsoft in the competitive landscape.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field and 5+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience OR 6+ years of equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of solution sales or consulting services sales experience.
- Arabic and English language proficiency required.
- Preferred: Master’s Degree (MBA, IT, Information Security) and 8+ years of technology-related sales/account management OR Bachelor’s with 12+ years of experience.
- 6+ years of solution or services sales experience preferred.
- Experience working with education sector customers.
- Ability to leverage technical frameworks such as Cloud Adoption Framework for Azure.
- Experience in leading large cloud engagements, data migration, and application modernization.
- Knowledge of enterprise software solutions and competitor landscape (AWS, GCP, etc.).
- Understanding of partner ecosystems and ability to leverage partner solutions.
