Job description
The Marine Maintenance Lead at OTTCO oversees the maintenance and operational integrity of all offshore assets including SPMs, marine loading arms, subsea pipelines, navigation aids, and associated equipment. The role ensures 100% asset availability, compliance with HSE standards, and seamless coordination between marine operations, maintenance, and third-party contractors. This position demands strong leadership, technical expertise in marine systems, and the ability to manage complex offshore maintenance programs under stringent safety and operational standards.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all maintenance activities for offshore assets, including SPMs, marine loading arms, hoses, subsea pipelines, and navigation aids.
- Ensure full adherence to preventive and corrective maintenance schedules (PM/CM) with no backlog or operational disruption.
- Maintain 100% availability of SPMs and offshore systems during crude unloading and terminal operations.
- Oversee offshore maintenance contractors, ensuring safe execution, cost control, and alignment with OEM recommendations and RCM studies.
- Plan and execute annual and semi-annual maintenance of SPMs, including instrumentation calibration and spare readiness.
- Develop and update marine maintenance procedures, replacement protocols, and emergency response plans.
- Serve as incident commander during marine emergencies and ensure compliance with offshore security, oil spill response, and terminal HSE procedures.
- Manage offshore spare parts inventory, ensuring sufficient critical spares and no downtime impact.
- Support marine operations during tanker mooring, hose handling, and port activities as required.
- Assist with Duqm Terminal marine loading arms and hoses maintenance and coordinate with onshore operations and engineering teams.
- Participate in continuous improvement, risk analysis, and reliability enhancement of marine systems.
- Ensure compliance with ISGOTT 6, OCIMF, and international marine safety and operational standards.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Marine, or Nautical Engineering (Marine qualification preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in oil & gas marine maintenance or offshore operations, including experience with SPM systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of ISGOTT, OCIMF, and global marine standards.
- Knowledge of refinery and oil terminal operations and crude movement systems.
- Proven ability to plan, schedule, and execute maintenance activities effectively under offshore conditions.
- Strong HSE mindset with awareness of emergency preparedness, environmental aspects, and risk management.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.
- Fluent in English (required); Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
- Capable of field operations leadership and managing offshore teams or contractors.
