Job description
The Finance Manager role at Doha Bank in Dubai is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing financial operations of the Dubai branch and supporting the bank’s growth and operational excellence within the UAE market. The role involves leading and overseeing all financial operations including financial management, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. The Finance Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements, UAE banking regulations, international financial standards, and Doha Bank’s internal policies and procedures. The position requires preparation, analysis, and presentation of financial reports to senior management while driving efficiency in financial systems, financial controls, and reporting frameworks. The role supports strategic decision-making by providing accurate financial insights, performance analysis, and operational financial recommendations. The Finance Manager will collaborate with senior leadership to strengthen financial governance, improve operational efficiency, and ensure regulatory compliance within the Dubai branch. The role requires progressive experience in banking or financial services, professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CA as an advantage, and strong analytical and leadership capabilities. The Finance Manager is expected to contribute to operational excellence, financial planning, and strategic initiatives aligned with Doha Bank’s business objectives within the UAE market.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all financial operations of the Dubai branch including financial management, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes while ensuring operational efficiency and financial accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with UAE banking regulations, international financial standards, and Doha Bank internal policies by implementing financial governance and regulatory controls.
- Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports to senior management including performance analysis, financial insights, and strategic recommendations.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes including financial planning, cost control, and variance analysis to support operational and strategic objectives.
- Drive efficiency in financial systems, financial controls, and reporting processes to improve operational performance and financial governance.
- Support strategic decision-making by providing financial insights, performance analysis, and business recommendations to senior leadership.
- Monitor financial performance of the Dubai branch and implement corrective actions to ensure financial targets and operational objectives are achieved.
- Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to improve financial operations, strengthen compliance frameworks, and enhance operational excellence.
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with Master’s degree preferred.
- Possess professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CA considered an advantage.
- Demonstrate 8–10 years of progressive experience in banking or financial services including financial management and reporting responsibilities.
- Possess at least 3 years of experience in managerial role overseeing finance operations and financial teams.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of UAE banking regulations, compliance requirements, and international financial standards.
- Show experience managing budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and financial reporting processes.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills and ability to provide financial insights for strategic decision-making.
- Exhibit leadership capability, stakeholder management experience, and ability to drive financial operational efficiency.
