Job description
The Head of Business Development for UAE & KSA will lead and execute the company’s growth strategy across both markets, with a focus on architecture, design, and built environment sectors. This role involves developing and implementing a comprehensive business development and market expansion strategy, building and managing a strong and qualified sales pipeline, establishing and maintaining relationships with senior government officials, regulators, developers, and corporate partners, and contributing to business cases, proposals, and financial models to inform strategic decision-making. The incumbent provides regular pipeline forecasts, performance reports, and market intelligence updates to the CEO, collaborates with marketing, design, operations, and finance teams to ensure alignment of commercial strategy with delivery capability, monitors market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments, represents the company at industry events and networking platforms across the GCC, and identifies companies requiring prequalification in the UAE and KSA. Success in this role requires strategic thinking, strong commercial acumen, regional market insight, and the ability to drive revenue growth and secure large-scale partnerships while navigating GCC business practices, legal frameworks, and cultural nuances.

- Build, manage, and maintain a strong and qualified sales pipeline to ensure sustainable long-term growth
- Establish and strengthen relationships with senior government officials, regulators, developers, and corporate partners to enhance market position
- Contribute to the preparation of business cases, proposals, and financial models to support strategic decision-making
- Provide regular pipeline forecasts, performance reporting, and market intelligence updates to the CEO
- Collaborate closely with marketing, design, operations, and finance teams to ensure alignment between commercial strategy and delivery capability
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments, providing actionable insights to leadership
- Represent RMJM at industry events, conferences, and networking platforms across the GCC
- Identify and highlight companies in the UAE and KSA that require prequalification
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a related Technical or Business Administration function
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in business development, commercial strategy, or sales leadership within the GCC
- Experience within architecture, design, or built environment sectors preferred
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and securing large-scale partnerships in the UAE and KSA
- Strong understanding of regional business practices, legal frameworks, and cultural nuances
- Fluency in English and Arabic
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach
