Job description
The SAP S/4HANA ERP Architect is responsible for designing, leading, and governing the enterprise-wide ERP transformation strategy, with a focus on the migration from Microsoft Dynamics to SAP S/4HANA and Coupa to SAP Ariba. Based in Abu Dhabi, this role serves as the architectural authority for all finance, procurement, and related enterprise systems, ensuring compliance, optimization, and scalability across the organization. The Architect will define the ERP roadmap, establish governance and controls, and align ERP initiatives with overall business and technology strategies. The position includes designing target operating models across major process domainsâAcquire to Retire, Order to Cash, Plan to Stock, Procure to Pay, Project to Profit, and Record to Reportâwhile embedding AI, automation, and analytics for future-readiness. This role oversees the implementation and support of finance modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Treasury, and Financial Planning, while ensuring integration with HRMS, analytics tools (Power BI, SAC, Visier), tax systems, and banking platforms. The Architect will lead vendor and stakeholder management, deliver ERP transformation programs, enforce compliance with audit and data residency standards, and generate insights through financial reporting dashboards. This is a strategic, high-impact role that drives digital finance transformation, system efficiency, and cross-functional alignment across Finance, Procurement, HR, and IT.

Key responsibilities
- Define and execute the SAP S/4HANA ERP roadmap aligned with business strategy and enterprise technology standards.
- Lead ERP transformation and migration from Microsoft Dynamics to SAP S/4HANA and Coupa to SAP Ariba.
- Establish governance frameworks, data standards, and compliance controls across all ERP modules.
- Oversee finance-related modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Treasury, and Financial Planning.
- Drive process automation, AI adoption, and digital workflow transformation in collaboration with Finance and IT teams.
- Integrate ERP systems with HRMS (SAP SuccessFactors), analytics platforms (Power BI, SAC, Visier), tax systems, and banking applications.
- Continuously optimize and standardize business processes across core domains such as Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, and Record to Report.
- Lead the end-to-end ERP project lifecycle from requirements gathering through configuration, testing, and go-live.
- Manage external implementation partners and ensure adherence to SLAs and technical standards.
- Oversee issue management, enhancement requests, and system change control processes.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders across Finance, Procurement, HR, and IT to align ERP design with business objectives.
- Conduct workshops, user acceptance testing, and user training sessions to ensure smooth adoption.
- Implement and monitor security, segregation of duties, and audit compliance controls (including SOX).
- Manage finance master data governance to maintain accuracy and consistency across entities.
- Provide financial insights through dashboards and analytical reports for decision-making.
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting, or Information Systems.
- Possess a minimum of 10 years of ERP experience with deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA architecture, finance transformation, and system migration.
- Demonstrate proven success in leading large-scale ERP transformation programs integrating Finance, Procurement, and HR systems.
- Hold SAP certifications in S/4HANA Architecture and SAP Ariba (preferred).
- TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification is an advantage.
- Show advanced technical proficiency in SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO) and Procurement (MM/Ariba).
- Exhibit leadership in ERP transformation, data migration, and governance frameworks.
- Demonstrate experience in AI-enabled process automation and cross-functional system integration.
- Have strong understanding of SOX compliance, audit alignment, and regulatory standards.
- Display excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities across business and IT functions.
