Job description
The Projects Manager will oversee the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of construction and infrastructure projects for banking facilities. This includes writing initial briefs, budgeting, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and supervising construction activities to ensure timely completion and compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. The role also entails managing variations, overseeing handovers, addressing post-handover defects, and ensuring alignment with bank operations and Sharia-compliant standards.

Key responsibilities
- Present briefs and initial budget/time plans for construction projects
- Prepare and submit RFPs and scopes of work for consultants
- Propose consultants and contractors for project steering committee approval
- Coordinate design progress and ensure authority approvals
- Review and recommend contractor bids based on experience and pricing
- Monitor site progress to ensure timely and compliant execution
- Authorize payments and review final accounts of consultants and contractors
- Assess and approve work variations and ensure alignment with authority requirements
- Supervise final handover, including documentation and snag list closures
- Follow up on post-handover defects and ensure contractor compliance
Experience & skills
- M.Sc. in Civil Engineering
- PMP certification required
- Minimum of 6ā8 years of experience in project management
- Proficiency in construction and fit-out project lifecycle
- Experience in banking/financial sector preferred
- Strong knowledge of contract and vendor management
- Understanding of regulatory compliance and Sharia principles
- Ability to manage RFPs, budgets, and technical evaluations
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills
