Job description
The Senior Projects Manager at Dubai Future Labs (DFL) leads cross-functional initiatives in research, development, and innovation. This role is responsible for managing strategic projects from planning to execution, maintaining stakeholder alignment, and ensuring delivery excellence. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the position plays a critical role in enhancing Dubaiās status as a hub for future-focused innovation and research.

Key responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of research and innovation projects from inception to completion.
- Work with clients to develop business cases and ensure value exists in each project.
- Define clear project scopes, milestones, and deliverables aligned with strategic priorities.
- Ensure high standards of quality while meeting strict deadlines.
- Serve as the central liaison among collaborators, partners, and stakeholders.
- Establish communication plans and engagement protocols to ensure stakeholder alignment.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to partnerships and project integration.
- Adhere to project governance frameworks and performance indicators.
- Monitor project budgets, resource allocation, and compliance requirements.
- Drive process improvements to accelerate delivery and foster continuous innovation.
- Support project proposals, reporting, and IP coordination.
- Track emerging research and innovation trends to inform planning and engagement.
- Communicate with team members and provide feedback to the Project Manager.
- Collaborate with government and corporate partners to create valuable innovation partnerships.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or related field (Masterās preferred).
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
- Minimum 7ā10 years of experience in project or program management in R&D or innovation.
- Proven ability to deliver complex, multi-stakeholder projects on time and within scope.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Exceptional planning, organizational, and execution capabilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is an asset.
- Familiarity with research environments, technology commercialization, or PPPs is a plus.
- Knowledge of agile management methodologies and tools.
