The Assistant Reservation Manager role at Novotel Makkah Thakher City is a full-time, permanent position within the Sales & Marketing department of the hotel, part of the globally recognized Accor network which encompasses over 45 brands, 5,500 hotels, 10,000 restaurants, and lifestyle destinations. The role is based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and focuses on ensuring that every guest’s interaction with the hotel begins with a seamless, welcoming, and exceptional reservation experience. The position is integral to optimizing hotel revenue through strategic room allocation, effective up-selling, and accurate reservation management. The Assistant Reservation Manager is responsible for handling and processing all guest room reservation requests, managing rooming lists, entering guest information into Opera or related hotel property management systems, and ensuring that all data is meticulously updated and verified. In addition, the role requires detailed knowledge of hotel facilities and services to provide accurate recommendations and respond to guest inquiries and special requests. Beyond operational duties, the position supports broader sales and marketing objectives, contributing to occupancy targets, revenue performance, and the promotion of Accor’s brand standards. The Assistant Reservation Manager also engages with Accor’s structured learning programs through the Academies, participates in corporate social responsibility initiatives such as Planet 21, and benefits from access to the employee benefit card, offering discounted rates at Accor hotels worldwide. The role emphasizes a guest-centric approach, requiring exceptional interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to proactively enhance the guest experience from the first point of contact, thereby reinforcing the hotel’s reputation for excellence and responsible hospitality.

Key responsibilities
- Manage and process all room reservation requests, ensuring adherence to hotel standards and guest requirements while maintaining high service quality
- Book guest accommodations, accurately enter and maintain rooming lists, and update guest reservation information in Opera or related property management systems
- Optimize room allocation to ensure maximum revenue generation through effective up-selling and promotion of hotel services and facilities
- Provide detailed and accurate information to guests regarding hotel amenities, services, and special offers, responding to inquiries and special requests promptly and professionally
- Maintain accuracy and consistency of all reservation data to support operational efficiency, reporting, and revenue management objectives
- Collaborate closely with the Sales & Marketing team to align reservation management with occupancy targets and overall hotel revenue goals
- Support guest satisfaction and loyalty by consistently delivering a high standard of service and ensuring the reservation experience contributes positively to the overall guest journey
- Engage in Accor’s training and development programs to enhance professional skills, operational knowledge, and understanding of global brand standards
- Participate in corporate social responsibility initiatives, including Planet 21, to contribute to sustainability and community-focused goals
- Assist in identifying process improvements within the reservations workflow to enhance operational efficiency, revenue performance, and the overall guest experience
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate prior experience in hotel reservations, front office operations, or a related hospitality role, with hands-on exposure to guest booking management
- Possess experience with Opera or a related hotel property management system to efficiently manage reservations, rooming lists, and guest data
- Be fluent in English, with additional language skills considered advantageous for communicating with international guests
- Exhibit strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills to interact effectively with guests, colleagues, and internal teams
- Have experience supporting revenue optimization through strategic room allocation, up-selling, and promotion of hotel facilities and services
- Show an understanding of the operational requirements of hotel reservations and front office management, with a focus on enhancing guest satisfaction and loyalty
