Job description
The Senior Manager - IT Delivery & Business Enablement is responsible for aligning IT with business strategy at flydubai, ensuring timely delivery of IT products and services, and managing relationships with C-level executives and department heads. The role oversees IT teams spanning business analysts, solution architects, software engineers, and application support, while ensuring cost-effective, innovative, and high-quality IT solutions that deliver business value.

Key responsibilities
- Establish an appropriate and cost-effective IT and application strategy for each business unit to support growth plans.
- Provide leadership across teams including Business and System Analysts, Solution Architects, Software Engineers, and Application Support.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with C-level executives and department heads, acting as the single point of contact for IT matters.
- Provide strategic direction to teams for annual work programs and monitor business cases for cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure service level objectives are agreed, conduct service reviews, manage escalations, and ensure business continuity plans.
- Provide business requirements to IT Strategy & Enterprise Architecture to align with IT Strategy in technology selection and design.
- Monitor project milestones, costs, risks, and resolve escalations to ensure successful IT delivery.
- Support build-versus-buy decisions, sourcing of best-of-breed solutions, and negotiation of SLAs with vendors.
- Promote business synergies and innovation by understanding business direction, industry trends, and evolving technologies.
- Drive service improvement programs for cost efficiency and reduced time to market.
- Identify technology improvement, optimization, and replacement initiatives.
- Implement effective resource management to optimize utilization and cost.
- Establish career development plans, training, mentoring, and coaching for team members.
- Conduct performance reviews, set SMART objectives, and cultivate a culture of high performance.
- Comply with ISR policies, report incidents, and complete required awareness sessions.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Master’s in Engineering or MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of IT management, product/project delivery, and transformation program experience.
- Experience leading large IT teams across business analysis, architecture, software engineering, and application support.
- Knowledge of the airline industry and emerging technologies.
- PMP and SAFe certifications required.
- Fluent in English.
