The Knowledge Analyst – Oil & Gas Operations and Reliability role is based in Riyadh and operates within the Saudi Client Capabilities Hub supporting the Global Energy and Materials practice. The role focuses on delivering content expertise across maintenance, reliability, and operations functions for oil and gas clients across upstream and downstream operations. The position involves supporting clients in building capabilities in delivery and execution during active projects and post-engagement implementation by developing systems, processes, and operational frameworks that ensure sustained results. The Knowledge Analyst collaborates closely with clients and internal teams to drive analyses, generate insights, and support business development efforts. Responsibilities span across client development lifecycle phases including initial business development, delivery execution, and maintaining long-term client relationships. The role requires maintaining deep expertise in oil and gas sector operations including upstream exploration, drilling, production, and downstream refining, processing, and distribution. The candidate contributes to development and maintenance of proprietary knowledge capabilities, working alongside local and global experts within the Client Capabilities Network comprising over 4,500 professionals. The position requires experience with advanced technologies such as digital oilfield solutions, predictive maintenance, and process optimization tools, as well as knowledge of global energy markets and industry trends. The role demands quantitative analysis, working with numerical models, and applying econometrics, physics, and engineering-based methodologies to support operational improvements. The position also involves collaborating across global teams, contributing to innovation-driven knowledge assets, and delivering insights that enable operational efficiency, reliability improvements, and business transformation within oil and gas clients.

Key responsibilities
- Deliver content expertise across maintenance, reliability, and operations functions for oil and gas clients including upstream exploration, drilling, production, and downstream refining, processing, and distribution operations
- Collaborate with client teams to build operational capabilities, systems, and processes that support delivery execution and ensure sustainable performance improvements following project completion
- Drive quantitative analyses using numerical models, econometrics, and operational data to generate actionable insights for oil and gas clients
- Support client development lifecycle including business development, project delivery, and long-term relationship management across multiple client engagements
- Develop and maintain proprietary knowledge capabilities, assets, and frameworks in collaboration with local and global Global Energy and Materials practice experts
- Leverage advanced technologies including digital oilfield solutions, predictive maintenance, and process optimization tools to support operational improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the Client Capabilities Network to deliver knowledge-driven insights and operational transformation initiatives
- Analyze global energy markets and industry trends impacting oil and gas operations to support strategic recommendations and operational decision-making
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, petrochemical engineering, geoscience, econometrics, physics, or equivalent quantitative discipline
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in upstream operations including exploration, drilling, and production and downstream operations including refining, processing, and distribution
- Experience with advanced technologies including digital oilfield solutions, predictive maintenance, and process optimization tools
- Knowledge of global energy markets and trends impacting oil and gas industry operations
- Experience working with quantitative models, numerical analysis, and data-driven decision-making methodologies
- Strong understanding of business, economic, and financial concepts within oil and gas industry operations
- Fluency in English language with Arabic language preferred
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across multiple organizational levels
