Job description
The Universal Banker at Mashreq Bankās Sahara Centre branch plays a dual role in delivering seamless customer service and driving retail sales. Operating under the Express Branch model, the role requires managing financial transactions via Teller Cash Recyclers (TCRs), ensuring operational accuracy, and maintaining high service standards. The Universal Banker is also responsible for sales of personal banking products, cross-selling across segments, and introducing customers to digital banking solutions, while ensuring a risk-free and compliant operating environment.

Key responsibilities
- Perform and manage daily cash transactions through Teller Cash Recyclers (TCRs) efficiently and in a risk-free manner.
- Deliver high-quality service to every customer interaction, meeting and exceeding service expectations.
- Drive sales by converting walk-in customers and tracking sales performance across the customer journey (contacts to appointments to sales).
- Acquire new-to-bank customers and deepen relationships with existing clients through tailored financial solutions.
- Handle customer complaints promptly and ensure complete resolution in line with service quality standards.
- Educate customers on Mashreqās alternative banking channels and digital products.
- Achieve sales KPIs on personal banking products and cross-sell other segment offerings.
- Ensure all transactions comply with bank policies, operational controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Work collaboratively with branch teams to achieve overall business and service targets.
- Contribute to customer retention initiatives and minimize service or application rejections.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2ā3 years of retail or branch banking experience, with at least 2 years in a UAE-based bank (preferred).
- Strong understanding of retail banking products, services, and policies.
- Proficiency in operating teller systems and TCRs.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to promote digital banking channels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-centric mindset with strong sales acumen.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
- Preferred age range: 23ā30 years.
