Job description
A large bank in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Senior MXML Developer to join their Murex greenfield implementation project. The role involves developing MXML import and export workflows using MXML Exchange, with deep involvement in Murex 3.1 workflow structures including trade, contract, and exchange workflows. Candidates must have expertise in Murex migration, XML/XST, and data dictionaries, along with swift and paper confirmations. Familiarity with industry-standard trade interfaces like MarkitWire, TOF, OMGEO, and RTNS is required. Candidates should also have technical proficiency in UNIX shell scripting, messaging queues (MQ), market data uploads (real-time RTBS and batch MDIT), and be familiar with front-to-back trade lifecycle and products across FX, IR, FI, and Equity. The role values strong analytical skills and the ability to propose workflow improvements. Knowledge of Java, Perl, and Murex 3.1 Architecture is a plus.

Key responsibilities
- Develop MXML import and export workflows using MXML Exchange
- Design and enhance Murex 3.1 workflows including trade, contract, and exchange workflows
- Implement and optimize trade lifecycle processes and system interface workflows
- Generate swift and paper confirmations
- Utilize and integrate with popular trade interfaces such as MarkitWire, TOF, OMGEO, RTNS
- Support real-time and batch market data uploads (RTBS, MDIT)
- Create and manage messaging queues (MQ)
- Script and automate tasks using UNIX Shell
- Support multiple product types including FX, IR, FI, and Equity
- Analyze existing workflows and suggest technical improvements
Experience & skills
- Minimum 12-15 years of experience in Murex migration projects
- Proficiency in MXML 3.1, XML/XST, and related tools
- Hands-on experience with Murex workflow development
- Familiarity with front-to-back trade lifecycle processes
- Technical expertise in UNIX Shell scripting and MQ creation
- Understanding of various financial products (FX, IR, FI, Equity)
- Experience with trade interfaces like MarkitWire, TOF, OMGEO, RTNS
- Fluency in English (C2 proficiency)
- Knowledge of Java, Perl, and Murex 3.1 architecture is a plus
