Job description
Large scale construction projects need someone tracking every deliverable against contract, technical and quality requirements, and that oversight sits with this role. You monitor construction progress to confirm work matches what the contract actually specifies, flagging any gap between contractor performance and the outcome the project needs. Consultants come under the same scrutiny, with their response times, quality and handling of RFIs and shop drawing submittals tracked against schedule requirements. Re-submittals get counted too, since a high number often signals a deeper problem with how information is being prepared or reviewed. Local engineers and civil staff report into this position, supervised and monitored alongside broader staffing levels and skill suitability for outstanding work. Daily Reports get verified and kept on file, forming part of the record trail the project relies on. Method statements approved for the works are checked for compliance on an ongoing basis, alongside the availability and suitability of drawings contractors need to keep moving. Coordination across all these threads keeps future project outcomes aligned with what was actually promised in the contract.
