Job description
The job holder will be responsible for maximizing retail sales in their respective department and maintaining high standards in visual merchandising, customer service, operations, replenishment, and recovery. They are also expected to manage relationships, coach and develop team members, and ensure adherence to company and safety standards. This role plays a critical part in enhancing the customer experience and operational efficiency in-store.

Key responsibilities
- Maximize department sales and productivity metrics in line with shop targets
- Monitor key data reports on space management, sales and stock movement against historical and budgeted metrics
- Ensure stock is laid out and displayed according to company visual merchandising standards
- Ensure all products are price tagged and bar-coded before display
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of all stock transactions
- Maintain vigilance for security of company assets and goods
- Maintain highest standards of housekeeping and health standards in store
- Ensure consistency in décor, branding, and departmental layout
- Optimize floor space based on product availability and sales trends
- Inspect merchandise for defects and coordinate timely clearance
- Execute pricing checks and ensure adherence to promotions and campaigns
- Maintain detailed knowledge of products and coach sales associates
- Report on non-selling, slow and fast-moving, and aging inventory items
- Facilitate effective stock replenishment and correct stock rotation
- Monitor and enforce customer service standards within the department
- Provide exceptional service and handle customer complaints efficiently
- Conduct training on products, selling techniques, and after-sales service
- Support onboarding of new hires and hold performance meetings
- Coach and mentor team members for improved service and performance
Experience & skills
- High School Diploma
- Ability to manage retail operations and meet sales targets
- Experience in visual merchandising and space planning
- Proficiency in inventory and stock management processes
- Familiarity with retail promotions, customer orders, and complaints handling
- Experience in mentoring team members and coordinating training
- Attention to detail and ability to uphold housekeeping and health standards
- Strong product knowledge and understanding of customer behavior
