Job description
As a Team Leader in Middleware at Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank PJSC (ADCB), responsible for managing the coordination, verification, and follow-up of the release of repaired and screened UAE Funds Transfer System (UAEFTS) and SWIFT payments received via electronic channels. Ensure full compliance with UAE Central Bank (CBUAE) and SWIFT requirements, maintaining service levels and process adherence. Review, authorize, or reject SWIFT messages in accordance with bank policies, analyzing findings, identifying trends, and recommending improvements to mitigate financial and reputational risk. Adhere to all organizational and departmental policies, processes, and standard operating procedures to maintain consistency and quality of service to customers and stakeholders. Demonstrate ADCB Service Standards in all internal and external customer interactions while managing self in line with bank’s people management policies. Engage with GBS professionals to drive ADCB’s strategy, growth, and digital transformation, contributing to exceptional customer experience and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities
- Manage the middleware team in the coordination, verification, and follow-up of repaired/screened UAEFTS and SWIFT payments to ensure service levels are met and regulatory adherence is maintained
- Review, authorize, or reject SWIFT messages based on the bank’s policies and procedures, reporting findings, identifying trends, and recommending process improvements to mitigate financial and reputational risks
- Ensure strict adherence to all relevant organizational and departmental policies, standard operating procedures, and instructions, maintaining work consistency and delivering high-quality service
- Apply ADCB Service Standards and demonstrate Our Promise in all internal and external customer interactions to achieve the bank’s expected levels of service
- Manage personal performance in accordance with ADCB people management policies to maximize contribution to overall business performance
- Collaborate with other GBS and banking teams to support operational excellence, process improvements, and digital transformation initiatives
- Monitor and report on team performance, identifying areas for development, training needs, and ensuring adherence to compliance, regulatory, and operational standards
- Implement continuous improvements in middleware operations to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and risk mitigation in the processing of payments
Experience & skills
- At least 4 years of banking experience, including 2 years in centralized remittances or payments processing
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Strong knowledge of banking applications and middleware systems
- Experience with SWIFT payment messaging and UAE Funds Transfer System (UAEFTS)
- Familiarity with UAE compliance regulations and FATCA requirements
- Advanced skills in Word and Excel, with basic skills in PowerPoint
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of identifying trends and mitigating operational risks
- Experience in team management, people development, and adherence to organizational policies and service standards
- Ability to maintain consistent high-quality service delivery while managing multiple priorities and operational workflows
- Strong understanding of operational risk, transaction screening, and compliance in a banking environment
