Job description
The Senior Manager Strategy Development will be responsible for leading the formulation and evolution of Omantelâs corporate strategy. This role will provide executive-level strategic analysis, scenario evaluation, and actionable recommendations aligned with the companyâs long-term goals. Collaborating closely with business units and innovation teams, the role ensures that strategic planning, execution, and performance evaluation processes are integrated and aligned. The successful candidate will support the CEO and Board with key insights, lead strategic workshops, and drive long-term capability building and change management programs across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities
- Lead internal and external strategic analyses, identifying scenarios and recommending actions to the CEO and Board of Directors
- Coordinate strategic inputs across sectors and subsidiaries
- Organize and facilitate strategy workshops for stakeholder alignment
- Develop and update Omantelâs corporate strategy and long-term goals
- Cascade the corporate strategy throughout the organization with the Innovation & Development team
- Support and challenge annual business unit plans, KPIs, and strategic enablers
- Consolidate strategy execution plans and present for approval to executive leadership
- Assist finance and planning teams in evaluating performance against strategic goals
- Conduct strategic deep dives on high-priority topics
- Define and structure long-term strategic initiatives for corporate positioning
- Create capability-building plans aligned to strategic goals
- Monitor market for early signals of opportunity or risk
- Evaluate strategic partnerships and investment opportunities
- Use data analytics tools to drive strategic decision-making
- Lead organization-wide change initiatives to support strategy execution
- Evaluate the impact of emerging technologies on corporate strategy
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs degree in a relevant discipline (Masterâs degree is a plus)
- Professional certifications in strategic planning or a related field preferred
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience, with 3+ years in a managerial role
- Proven experience in corporate strategy development and execution
- Strong understanding of data analytics and market analysis
- Experience in leading cross-functional strategic initiatives
- Familiarity with change management methodologies
- Ability to prepare executive-level presentations and reports
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong decision-making and analytical thinking abilities
