Job description
The Senior Accounting Specialist – Localization and Treasury at Boston Consulting Group in Dubai is responsible for supporting regional localization requirements including Local Content and ICV, month-end and year-end accounting close, treasury operations, and audit coordination. Reporting to the Finance Manager – Localization, the role involves managing entity-level certification processes, communicating regulatory updates, handling bond applications, preparing banking documents, overseeing monthly cash forecasts, supporting complex accounting queries, responding to audit requests, and participating in system change implementations such as SAP. The position also entails managing external financial disclosure requests and aiding in the insurance renewal process, while ensuring compliance with BCG’s standards. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and stakeholder communication are essential. This is a temporary contract until March 2026.

Key responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end entity-level certification processes and audits for Local Content and ICV requirements
- Manage updates and stakeholder communication for regional localization guidelines
- Attend training, maintain expert networks, and stay current on auditor and authority updates
- Prepare and submit banking documents, review and approve bond applications
- Oversee the monthly cash forecast process
- Support resolution of complex accounting issues and assist GFOS RtR team with month-end and year-end queries
- Aid the Accounting Manager in closing tasks and manage audit request responses
- Contribute to system implementation projects like SAP
- Handle Middle East external disclosure requests with appropriate global approvals
- Support annual insurance renewal processes and execute ad hoc finance tasks
Experience & skills
- Relevant bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Professional Accounting Qualification preferred
- Internal or external audit experience preferred
- Fluency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in data-based systems and report generation
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage competing priorities
- Demonstrated leadership or customer service experience
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
