Job description
Jebel Ali School's Secondary team in Dubai welcomes a new Music Teacher from January 2027. Schemes of work, lesson plans and assessments are built around each student's learning needs, styles and capabilities, including those with SEN, EAL or high ability. ICT and new technologies are expected to lift the quality of teaching across all ages and attainment levels. Beyond lessons, enrichment activities and after-school programmes extend the curriculum, and school concerts and community events sometimes fall in the evening or at weekends. Formative and summative assessment feeds into regular feedback, target setting and reports for parents. Behaviour is managed through clear routines in line with school policy, and UAE heritage and culture are embedded in the curriculum. Departmental discussions and whole-school development benefit from your contribution, alongside ongoing professional development. Candidates need a Bachelor's in Education or a relevant subject with a recognised teaching qualification, ideally two or more years in recognised or international schools, and experience with DSIB, OFSTED or a similar inspection body. Background checks, including overseas police checks, apply to all appointments.
