The Technical Engineer β Tires & Batteries Warranty role within Al-Futtaim Automotive Global Aftersales focuses on warranty claim validation, technical assessment, customer engagement, supplier recovery, and continuous improvement to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction. The role requires working closely with a Master Technician on field inspections and engaging with sales teams and customers to collect warranty claims and supporting documentation, while conducting structured weekly customer visits for inspections and usage-condition assessment. The position involves reviewing, verifying, and validating all tire and battery warranty claims submitted by technicians, applying technical judgment in line with warranty guidelines and manufacturer recommendations. The role includes conducting field visits to analyze product issues, support teams, and provide on-the-job technical guidance and training, ensuring accurate documentation, record keeping, and strict adherence to warranty terms and conditions. The engineer maintains an updated and accurate database for tire and battery warranty claims, performs trend analysis, prepares management reports, and conducts customer site visits to identify operational gaps and recommend process improvements. Responsibilities also include preparing monthly warranty cost percentage reports, defining corrective and preventive actions to control claim costs, developing technical bulletins, quality materials, and training programs to reduce avoidable warranty claims, and supporting product quality improvement. The role requires submitting validated claims to supplier and principal portals, following up on approvals, ensuring full value recovery, and coordinating with Finance and cross-functional teams for warranty reconciliation. The position sits within the Aftersales Technical and Warranty team, reports to the Senior Manager β Product and Quality, and collaborates with Master Technicians, Product, Finance, Aftersales Operations, and supplier partners within Al-Futtaim Automotive.

Key responsibilities
- Liaise with sales teams and customers to collect warranty claims, supporting documents, and conduct structured weekly customer visits for inspections and usage-condition assessment
- Review, verify, and validate tire and battery warranty claims submitted by technicians in line with warranty guidelines and manufacturer recommendations
- Conduct field visits to analyze product issues, support teams, and provide on-the-job technical guidance and training
- Ensure accurate documentation, record keeping, and strict adherence to warranty terms and conditions
- Maintain and update the warranty claims database for tires and batteries, including trend analysis and management reporting
- Perform customer site visits to assess warranty claims, identify operational gaps, and recommend warranty process improvements
- Prepare monthly warranty cost percentage reports and define corrective and preventive actions to control claim costs
- Develop technical bulletins, quality materials, and training programs to reduce avoidable warranty claims and improve product quality

Experience & skills
- Hold a Diploma or Bachelorβs degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field
- Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of relevant automotive experience with mandatory exposure to automotive quality
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of tires, batteries, and automotive warranty guidelines
- Demonstrate expertise in warranty claim analysis, validation, and cost control
- Demonstrate data analysis and reporting capability with proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and ERP systems such as SAP
- Hold a valid UAE driving license
