Job description
The Guest Relations Manager at Sofitel Riyadh Hotel & Convention Center oversees and directs all aspects of Guest Relations to maximize guest satisfaction. The role requires supervising Guest Relation Officers, managing VIP arrivals and departures, coordinating with Concierge, Butler, and Sofitel Club for hotel events and services, and maintaining high standards of guest recognition, amenities, and service. Responsibilities include handling guest complaints, promoting inter-hotel sales, ensuring Club members and repeat guests receive personalized attention, preparing compendiums and requisitions for amenities, maintaining guest history systems, and upholding hotel grooming and operational standards. The manager ensures smooth operations through daily briefings, efficient communication with related departments, and adherence to Sofitelās service standards.

Key responsibilities
- Oversee and direct all Guest Relations activities to maximize guest satisfaction
- Supervise and guide Guest Relation Officers
- Prepare weekly duty rosters and manage schedules
- Ensure VIP rooms and suites meet standard allocations, amenities, and special requests
- Escort arriving, departing, and external guests to their destinations
- Conduct house tours, site inspections, and special room drops for VIP guests
- Handle guest complaints and feedback according to Sofitel standards, ensuring follow-up and resolution
- Coordinate with Concierge, Butler, and Sofitel Club for events, restaurant promotions, and VIP requests
- Promote inter-hotel sales and in-house facilities
- Maintain guest history systems and update guest records
- Prepare and distribute amenities in a timely manner
- Ensure upkeep and cleanliness of Guest Relations desk and lobby
- Attend daily and monthly briefings to facilitate communication and smooth operations
- Perform related duties and special projects as assigned by Senior Management
Experience & skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

- Ability to promote positive relations with guests and patrons
- Good judgment and problem-solving skills with difficult guests
- Degree from School for Tourism & Hotel Management
- Minimum 3ā5 years relevant experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
