Job description
The Section Manager – Test Cell at Saudia Technic is responsible for leading and managing the test cell operations within the aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) division. This role ensures that all testing, troubleshooting, and quality control activities are conducted in compliance with aviation safety standards and technical regulations. The manager oversees performance monitoring, maintenance scheduling, and coordination of technical teams to achieve operational efficiency. They are accountable for continuous improvement of processes, adherence to MRO best practices, risk assessment, and ensuring accurate documentation and reporting. The position requires collaboration with engineering, maintenance, and regulatory teams to maintain high-quality standards and ensure customer satisfaction across regional and global clients.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the test cell operations for aircraft maintenance and repair, ensuring adherence to safety, technical, and regulatory standards.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the technical team, including scheduling, task allocation, and performance monitoring.
- Develop and implement operational plans, maintenance schedules, and test protocols to optimize efficiency and reliability.
- Oversee troubleshooting, diagnostics, and technical problem-solving for all test cell equipment and systems.
- Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, safety guidelines, and quality standards in all operational activities.
- Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and regulatory teams to support projects, modifications, and audits.
- Monitor and report on test cell performance, key metrics, and operational outcomes to senior management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, process optimization, and adoption of best practices in test cell operations.
- Manage documentation, technical records, and reporting in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Assess and mitigate operational risks, ensuring readiness for emergencies and minimizing downtime in testing operations.
Experience & skills
- Proven experience in aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations, preferably with test cell management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills to supervise technical staff effectively.
- Knowledge of aviation safety standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Experience in operational planning, scheduling, and project execution in aviation or engineering environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot and manage technical issues within test cell systems and equipment.
- Familiarity with documentation standards, quality control, and technical reporting procedures.
- Analytical skills to monitor performance metrics and implement process improvements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities to coordinate across multiple teams.
