Job description
The Strategic Planning Manager at Honeywell will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer for Building Automation METAI and lead strategic marketing initiatives across the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa. The role is focused on identifying and executing growth strategies through market and vertical analysis, customer segmentation, and the development of go-to-market strategies, including pricing, positioning, and promotion. The manager will drive evaluation of strategic opportunities, lead the STRAP process, manage business intelligence efforts, and coordinate inorganic growth strategies such as acquisitions and alliances. A strong understanding of sales functions, value proposition development, and regional market trends is required. This hybrid role also demands close coordination with sales, technology, and leadership stakeholders to implement initiatives that drive profitable growth. The candidate must have a strong foundation in strategic marketing, hands-on business experience, and fluency in English with ideally Arabic language skills.

- Lead strategic marketing and growth initiatives aligned with Honeywell Building Automation's objectives
- Drive and manage the STRAP planning process and portfolio assessment
- Develop go-to-market strategies including pricing, promotion, channel, and positioning
- Conduct vertical and market analysis to inform strategic decisions
- Implement marketing plans that support revenue growth and profitability
- Lead inorganic growth initiatives such as partnerships, licensing, and acquisitions
- Oversee the marketing and competitive intelligence functions
- Guide branding efforts and identify new positioning opportunities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, sales, and technology teams
- Manage business intelligence reporting, trend analysis, and strategic project execution
Experience & skills
- 5–7 years’ experience in strategic management consulting or equivalent strategic planning roles
- 3–4 years hands-on experience in business functions like marketing, engineering, or plant operations
- Undergraduate degree in engineering or a technical field
- Graduate degree (MBA) from a top-tier institution
- Proven experience with strategic toolkits including market sizing, segmentation, and value management
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence executive stakeholders
- Experience in a matrixed and lean organizational structure
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills preferred
