Job description
The Account Executive - South Africa (Dubai) role at Snowflake is responsible for building, managing, and expanding client relationships within enterprise businesses, with a primary geographic focus on South Africa while being based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role involves prospecting, developing, negotiating, and closing enterprise-level business opportunities in a timely manner while maintaining a strong focus on customer requirements and outcomes. The Account Executive owns the full sales lifecycle, including territory and regional sales planning, target prospect identification, pipeline development, opportunity qualification, contract negotiation, and opportunity closure. The position requires acting as a trusted advisor by understanding customersā current and future IT roadmaps and positioning Snowflakeās cloud data platform solutions accordingly. The role includes achieving quarterly and annual sales quotas, with demonstrated experience closing $1M+ ARR annually, managing complex sales processes, driving consistent pipeline activity, and generating new revenue streams. The Account Executive collaborates with marketing teams to develop marketing plans that drive revenue growth, conducts executive-level and CxO discussions, supports customer onboarding, and ensures ongoing account management to maintain customer satisfaction and drive expansion revenue. The position operates within a fast-paced, high-growth, startup-oriented environment and emphasizes solution-based selling, enterprise software and cloud application sales, and executive relationship management across META region enterprise accounts, specifically South Africa.

Key responsibilities
- Achieve quarterly and annual sales quotas for allocated prospective enterprise accounts by developing and executing a territory sales strategy, target prospect list, and regional sales plan.
- Develop and execute joint marketing plans with the marketing team to drive enterprise revenue growth.
- Act as a trusted advisor by understanding customer existing and future IT roadmaps and positioning Snowflake solutions within the enterprise marketplace.
- Prospect, qualify, and develop new enterprise sales opportunities and ongoing revenue streams.
- Arrange and conduct executive-level and CxO positioning meetings and discussions.
- Manage the end-to-end enterprise sales process including negotiation, contract closure, and opportunity management.
- Perform ongoing account management to ensure customer satisfaction and generate additional and expansion revenue streams.
- Apply a solution-based selling approach while managing complex sales cycles and maintaining accurate contact and opportunity management.
Experience & skills
- Minimum of 7+ years of field sales experience, preferably with emphasis on data or cloud-related technology.
- At least 5+ years of industry-focused experience generating new business within prospective enterprise accounts in the META region, specifically South Africa.
- Proven ability to independently manage, develop, negotiate, and close new enterprise client relationships.
- Demonstrated experience achieving sales quotas of $1M+ ARR per year.
- Track record of driving consistent sales activity, pipeline development, and quota achievement.
- Experience determining customer requirements and presenting appropriate enterprise technology solutions.
- Experience selling enterprise software or cloud-based applications is desired.
- Experience implementing MEDDPICC sales methodology is a plus.
