Job description
Sharjah Islamic Bank is seeking a Branch Manager for its Digital Branch in Sharjah. This leadership role combines traditional retail branch management with the integration of digital tools and platforms to elevate customer experience and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail banking, excellent knowledge of compliance and Islamic banking principles, and the capability to lead a high-performing team in a tech-enabled environment.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Identify opportunities and pursue them to develop the branch business
- Promote branch services to gain market share and maximize profitability
- Enhance customer interaction through digital solutions within the branch
- Review reports related to overdrafts, dormant accounts, assets and liabilities, and other daily financial activities
- Supervise and support staff in daily operations and digital tool usage
- Monitor performance against targets and provide feedback and guidance
- Track and analyze KPIs related to digital adoption and customer satisfaction
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, including targeting new sources of funds
- Meet customers in-branch to strengthen relationships and gather feedback
- Serve as the central contact for AML, KYC, and CTF matters and review compliance-related documentation
- Support the Compliance Department and ensure branch-wide adherence to regulatory standards
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with digital channels
- Ensure compliance with consumer protection standards and SIB Conduct Risk Framework
Experience & skills
- University Degree or Diploma in Business Studies, Finance or Banking
- 8 - 10 years of retail banking experience, with at least 4 years in retail branches
- Proficiency in Arabic and English, both oral and written
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in digital banking technologies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Deep understanding of banking regulations and compliance
- Team leadership and knowledge of banking operations
- Sound understanding of Islamic banking principles
