Job description
Based at the Corporate Office in Dubai, the Corporate Technical Superintendent – Port Services oversees technical projects and dry dockings, ensures adherence to standardized procedures, and provides technical support to divisional business units across global marine operations. The role is critical in maintaining vessel maintenance programs, implementing technical standards, managing PMS systems, and ensuring reliability targets. It involves extensive international travel and hands-on oversight of dry docking, refits, and repair initiatives.

Key responsibilities
- Implement technical project procedures and support BU Heads and Technical Managers.
- Review and recommend approval of technical documentation and project proposals.
- Oversee dry dockings, major repairs, and refits including AFEs and master planning.
- Develop and manage divisional maintenance procedures and cost monitoring.
- Support PMS software implementation and interconnectivity with ERP systems.
- Review and input into corporate technical standards with attention to vessel diversity.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with divisional technical procedures.
- Approve and track business unit reliability figures.
- Support global technical tasks and coverage as required across divisions.
- Liaise with Divisional Technical & Operations Managers and Corporate Senior Coordinators.
Experience & skills
- Class 1 Marine Engineer COC with recent, relevant experience.
- Mechanical Engineering degree (Electromechanical/Industrial) or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years as Technical Superintendent.
- Experience with commercial vessels over 500 GRT; harbor tugs and offshore vessels preferred.
- Knowledge of ISPS, ISM, flag state and classification society standards.
- Proficiency in PMS/ERP systems; ABS NS preferred.
- Fluent in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook; PowerPoint and MS Project are a plus.
- Proven expertise in dry dockings, repairs, mobilizations, and in-water repairs.
- Budget planning, reporting, and client communication experience.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and report writing skills.
