Job description
The Editions Site Operations Team Leader (Dispatch & Food Delivery Operations) at Deliveroo in Dubai is responsible for supporting site management in driving operational excellence, maximizing customer satisfaction, and ensuring efficient day-to-day operations within delivery-only kitchen environments known as Editions sites. The role operates within the food delivery, logistics, and e-commerce industry, focusing on managing dispatch operations, order handling, and logistics operations to ensure accurate and timely delivery to riders. The position requires strong oversight of food safety and health and safety (H&S) compliance, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintaining a clean, organized, and legally compliant site environment. The Team Leader works closely with site management to achieve KPI management targets, optimize processes, and maintain high operational performance. Responsibilities include supervising shift management, delegating tasks, and ensuring team productivity during peak operational periods. The role also involves stakeholder management, including communication with riders, contractors, and local stakeholders to maintain smooth operations and uphold company standards. The position requires hands-on involvement in training and coaching team members, monitoring compliance, and driving continuous improvement in operational processes. The role contributes to maintaining operational excellence in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, ensuring seamless coordination between logistics operations, delivery operations, and customer satisfaction management while supporting Deliveroo’s mission to transform the food delivery marketplace.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and prioritize site operations by supporting site management in achieving company objectives, delegating tasks, and managing shift operations to maintain high productivity during peak delivery periods
- Oversee dispatch operations by supervising order handling processes, ensuring accurate allocation of orders to riders, and minimizing operational errors to maintain delivery efficiency
- Ensure compliance with food safety and health and safety (H&S) standards by conducting regular checks and maintaining a clean, organized, and legally compliant site environment
- Supervise adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) by monitoring team performance, conducting training and coaching sessions, and ensuring consistent operational execution
- Manage stakeholder interactions by communicating professionally with riders, contractors, and external parties to ensure smooth logistics operations and uphold company reputation
- Monitor KPI management and performance tracking by ensuring operational targets are met and identifying opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement
- Support team leadership and people management activities including supervising timekeeping, managing breaks, and fostering a positive and collaborative work culture
- Drive operational excellence by coordinating logistics operations, delivery operations, and customer satisfaction management to ensure seamless service delivery
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate proven experience in team leadership including training and coaching team members and the ability to independently manage shift operations in fast-paced environments
- Exhibit strong operational mindset with hands-on experience in dispatch operations, logistics operations, and KPI management with a track record of achieving performance targets
- Possess knowledge of food safety, health and safety (H&S) standards, and compliance monitoring within operational environments such as food delivery or logistics
- Demonstrate proficiency in standard operating procedures (SOPs) and the ability to enforce compliance through structured supervision and coaching practices
- Show strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with riders, contractors, and external stakeholders in a professional manner
- Exhibit adaptability and decision-making capability in fast-paced, evolving environments while maintaining operational efficiency and service quality
- Demonstrate people management skills including supervision of timekeeping, break management, and fostering a cooperative team culture
- Possess strong English language proficiency in both written and spoken communication to support operational coordination and stakeholder engagement
