Job description
The Amazon MENA CX Product team is looking for a technically skilled Business Intelligence Engineer to lead data analytics and drive product decisions across the customer shopping journey. This role involves working with large, complex datasets to turn raw data into actionable insights, shaping product design and business priorities. The candidate must be passionate about data, comfortable with ambiguity, and capable of partnering with internal stakeholders to solve broad business problems in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities
- Interface/interact with business and finance customers, gathering requirements and delivering complete BI solutions
- Help define the team's BI strategy
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of metrics, reports, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions
- Continually improve ongoing reporting and processes, automating and simplifying self-service support
- Write high quality code to retrieve and analyze large and complex data sets
- Identify patterns in data and make data-driven recommendations to improve profitability and drive growth
- Develop understanding of key business metrics/KPIs and provide analysis that shapes business direction
Experience & skills
- 5+ years of SQL experience
- Experience programming to extract, transform, and clean large multi-TB data sets
- Experience in the data/BI space
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders
- Experience analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and ETL pipelines
- Experience with statistical analysis packages such as R, SAS, Matlab
- Experience using SQL and Python for data processing and modeling
- Preferred: Experience with AWS solutions like EC2, DynamoDB, S3, Redshift
- Preferred: Experience in data mining and handling complex datasets
