Job description

The Principal Electrical Design Engineer will lead the electrical engineering scope of medium to large-scale Onshore/Offshore projects across the Oil & Gas, hydrocarbon, and infrastructure sectors. The role is responsible for the conceptual, FEED, and detailed design of substations, transmission, and distribution systems, providing technical leadership to a team of 10 to 20 electrical engineers and designers. Key responsibilities include work planning, conducting and reviewing electrical system studies using tools like ETAP, equipment specification, power system analysis, and ensuring design integrity, on-time delivery, and budget adherence. The engineer will represent the electrical discipline in client interactions, vendor discussions, and interdisciplinary coordination. Candidates must have at least 15 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Proficiency in global industry codes (IEEE, NFPA, API, IEC, ANSI/NEMA) and Saudi standards is expected.
