Job description
FTI Consulting is seeking a Director-level valuation professional to join its Corporate Finance & Restructuring practice in Dubai, covering the GCC market. The role involves delivering valuation opinions for financial reporting, transaction advisory, and tax purposes, using advanced financial modelling, valuation methodologies, and industry research. The position requires strong analytical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple assignments while working under deadlines. The successful candidate will contribute to a growing valuations team, engage with clients across multiple sectors, and leverage tools such as Excel, Capital IQ, PitchBook, and Bloomberg to deliver clear and defensible valuation analyses. Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Deliver clear and defensible valuation opinions for financial reporting, transaction advisory, and tax purposes
- Apply valuation methodologies and advanced financial modelling techniques
- Conduct detailed industry and company research to support valuation analyses
- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while adhering to deadlines
- Prepare and present high-quality valuation reports and presentations to clients
- Work with valuation tools such as Excel, Capital IQ, PitchBook, and Bloomberg
- Engage with clients across multiple sectors to address valuation needs
- Contribute to the growth and development of the valuations team
- Travel within GCC as required for client engagements
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in finance, accounting, economics, or related field
- Professional qualifications such as CFA or ACA are highly desirable
- 7-8 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in business valuation
- Exposure across multiple industry sectors preferred
- Proven experience with valuation tools (Excel, Capital IQ, PitchBook, Bloomberg, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong report writing and presentation capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines
- Strong business acumen and proven client relationship management skills
