The Airport Talent Pool - Project Director role is responsible for leading and delivering large-scale airport and infrastructure programs across the Middle East, ensuring alignment with client requirements, contractual obligations, and international standards. The position oversees all Project Management Consultancy (PMC) functions including planning, design coordination, budgeting, risk management, resource management, and performance monitoring to achieve timely, cost-effective, and high-quality project outcomes. The role provides strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement, and team direction while driving performance, compliance, and successful delivery in complex, high-pressure environments. The Project Director sets overall program direction, manages deliverables across all functions as per contractual scope, and fulfills client needs and requirements. Responsibilities include developing and implementing comprehensive PMC plans, policies, and procedures, participating in planning and design alternatives, coordinating with client representatives regarding project progress, and implementing standardized project management and business analysis practices. The role requires overseeing project budgets, fiscal controls, contracts, quality control provisions, cost estimates, and financial management including risk considerations. The Project Director directs work sequencing, inspects and approves completed works, ensures compliance with institutional standards, building and life safety codes, and architectural and engineering specifications. The role involves evaluating project status reports, presenting executive-level updates, overseeing day-to-day construction management, leading resource and capacity management, and ensuring compliance with quality, environmental, safety, and occupational health policies. The role requires extensive experience managing large-scale airport infrastructure, mega infrastructure, building, and architectural projects, working with international consultants, and operating in GCC environments.

Key responsibilities
- Set overall program direction as PMC Director by leading strategic planning, overseeing deliverables across all functions, ensuring contractual scope compliance, and fulfilling client requirements for large-scale airport and infrastructure programs
- Develop and implement comprehensive Project Management Consultancy plans, policies, procedures, and processes to oversee, coordinate, and report on all project activities while ensuring alignment with organizational standards
- Participate in planning and formulation of design alternatives, coordinate engineering and architectural solutions, and ensure project objectives are achieved within scope, schedule, and quality requirements
- Communicate continuously with client representatives regarding project progress, risks, and areas of concern while maintaining stakeholder engagement and executive-level reporting
- Develop and administer project budgets, cost controls, fiscal management, contracts, and quality control provisions while overseeing consolidated cost estimates and financial performance
- Oversee day-to-day construction project management including work sequencing, inspections, approvals, and acceptance of completed projects ensuring compliance with building codes, life safety standards, and engineering specifications
- Lead resource and capacity management processes, manage multidisciplinary teams, drive performance improvements, and ensure delivery capability under high-pressure environments
- Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, safety, and occupational health policies, oversee risk management, prepare operational reports, and support continuous improvement initiatives across project lifecycle
Experience & skills
- Possess minimum 25 years of experience in project management with previous similar roles in large-scale Project Management Consultancy or Construction Supervision Consultancy
- Demonstrate strong background in engineering and construction works including mega infrastructure, airport infrastructure, building, and architectural projects
- Demonstrate senior management or director-level experience managing large multidisciplinary teams and coordinating complex project functions
- Possess Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent from recognized university with Chartered Engineer status preferred
- Demonstrate experience working with international consultants and preferably experience within GCC countries
- Demonstrate experience managing project budgets, risk management, cost control, and financial management for large-scale infrastructure programs
- Demonstrate ability to lead teams under pressure and deliver projects within time constraints and high-pressure environments
- Demonstrate extensive experience in stakeholder management, project delivery leadership, and coordination roles across large-scale airport infrastructure programs
