Job description
Mastercard is seeking a Director, Business Excellence Interface & Stakeholder Engagement to manage and coordinate initiatives across products, customer, and industry stakeholder engagement within its Security Solutions Organization (SSO). This role is responsible for delivering initiatives, ensuring progress against milestones, and aligning outcomes with customer needs and business priorities. It involves collaboration with SSO product teams and senior executives to expand visibility into emerging opportunities and acquisitions beyond traditional payments security. The position reports directly to the Vice President of Product Insights and Optimization and plays a critical role in shaping Mastercardās security solutions strategy.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Identify and develop a roadmap of initiatives and collaboration areas for customer engagements with focus on business priorities
- Serve as primary liaison, ensuring alignment of strategic goals and operational execution
- Support development of requirements and initiatives across SSO groups to deliver engagements aligned with Mastercard vision
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with global product, regional, marketing, comms, and Insights & Enablement teams
- Lead oversight initiatives ensuring relevant Mastercard resources and departments are involved for execution
- Execute and implement compliance framework for engagement activities
- Promote and apply best practices to enhance effectiveness of engagement efforts
- Track and report on initiatives, including effectiveness, resource usage, and stakeholder involvement
- Provide regular updates and insights to senior leadership
- Oversee program budgets at program level, ensuring efficient resource allocation
- Support and coordinate Business Integration & Excellence internal operations such as Townhalls, documentation briefings, and vendor management
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in financial services, technology, or related industry
- Experience in financial services, technology, or similar sectors
- Proven program management expertise with cross-functional customer or partner programs
- Strong planning and execution skills across multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex vendor relationships
- Experience supporting or driving customer-facing initiatives
- Familiarity with governance processes, compliance requirements, and performance reporting
- Experience managing program budgets and optimizing resource use
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
