Job description
The Senior Engineer Infra – National Carrier Services role is responsible for planning and executing the delivery of Business Support System (BSS) components for Ignite IT releases in collaboration with vendors, while overseeing solution design and functional design specifications across Ignite and Business-As-Usual (BAU) workstreams to ensure delivery timelines and quality standards are achieved. The role manages intra- and inter-release dependencies across internal and vendor teams, works closely with Technology Product Owners to prioritize feature sets and user stories within product and sprint backlogs, and ensures effective interfacing with business stakeholders for alignment and clarification. The position is accountable for developing detailed operational assessment documentation and reporting, managing daily IT service operations and maintenance using ITIL principles, automation, and orchestration to ensure efficient service delivery, and maintaining Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and high availability in line with business requirements. The role participates in defining platform-specific security standards, drives process improvements with optimization teams, reviews and tests Business Contingency and Disaster Recovery plans, and ensures results are reported and improvements implemented. It also implements quality control measures for service assurance, manages vendor and supplier relationships, supports large-scale operational organizations, oversees international customer and consortium operations, manages CAPEX and OPEX financials, handles SLA metrics and large-scale incidents, and contributes to governance and financial management within a multicultural, multinational telecommunications environment.

Key responsibilities
- Plan and execute delivery of BSS components for Ignite IT releases in collaboration with vendors

- Interface with business stakeholders to ensure alignment and requirement clarification
- Develop detailed reporting and documentation for operational assessment activities
- Manage daily IT service operations and maintenance using ITIL principles, automation, and orchestration
- Maintain SLAs and high availability in line with business requirements
- Participate in development of platform-specific security standards and process improvement initiatives
- Review, test, and report on Business Contingency and Disaster Recovery plans
- Implement quality control measures for service assurance and service delivery improvement
- Liaise with internal departments, vendors, and suppliers to determine requirements and set service standards
Experience & skills
- Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications Engineering
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in the telecommunications or hi-tech industry
- Minimum 10 years of experience in managerial roles within the telecommunications industry
- Minimum 10 years of experience managing large-scale operational organizations
- Minimum 5 years of experience handling international customer, consortium operations, and smart hands
- Experience managing wholesale contractual agreements, CAPEX and OPEX financials, and operations
- Experience defining SLA metrics, managing commitments, and handling large-scale incidents
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage
