Job description
Retail Banking leaders need finance numbers they can act on, and this Vice President & Finance Business Partner role in the UAE exists to provide them. Plans, budgets and targets are set with the business, then tracked month by month. Monthly accounting and reporting come with commentary on P&L, balance sheet and cash flow performance. Profitability analysis by client, product and segment points to where growth or cost savings are possible, and detailed financial models test the impact of different scenarios. New product launches need a viability assessment, product-level P&L reporting and, where relevant, amortization processes. Group Management Committee packs and Retail Business Review packs draw on your input. Governance is part of the job too, including work with auditors and regulators, along with mentoring the finance team and overseeing financial system implementations with IT. The role is hybrid and calls for at least 10 years in finance business partnering within banking or financial services, ideally in UAE Retail Banking, with a CMA, CPA or CFA preferred.
