Job description
Wood's Oil, Gas & New Energies business is bringing in a PMC Senior Project Engineer to lead and coordinate engineering teams in Abu Dhabi, driving technical projects through planning, execution and completion for a high profile client. Multidiscipline engineering inputs and deliverables run across multiple execution centers, including workshare and high value engineering centers, and this role oversees the team that manages and coordinates all of it. You'll prepare Discipline Design Instructions, Project Engineering Manpower Plans and multidiscipline contract requisition scopes, while interfacing with discipline managers to secure the resources projects actually need. Quality, cost and schedule all fall under direct control here, checking compliance with the Project Quality System, planning HSES reviews, and assuring the quality of engineering deliverables before they reach the customer. Work plans for discipline and inter-discipline interfaces get created and implemented, tracking key dates, milestones and deliverables while managing forecasts and resolving escalated delays and changes. Design Verification work runs through this role too, driving others to completion while applying a clear understanding of risk and mitigation requirements. Change gets managed using knowledge of conditions of contract, quantifying its effects project wide and developing mitigation plans against schedule and milestone impacts. Leading a typically 50-plus person interdisciplinary team, the role supervises technical professionals, checks their work and keeps the project team communicating clearly throughout. A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required, along with roughly 15 years in a project delivery environment and experience on mega EPC or EPCm projects, with prior ADNOC Projects or PMC exposure considered an advantage.
