Job description
Murex Implementation Manager responsible for understanding business needs within assigned banking operational areas and translating them into system development, configuration, and delivery requirements to ensure efficient and effective business operations. The role focuses on managing Murex or similar banking trading and financial systems, ensuring system stability, operational continuity, and alignment with SLA requirements. Responsibilities include overseeing daily system operations, ensuring all batch jobs and system processes run smoothly, and confirming that backup systems and disaster recovery (DR) sites operate without issues. The role requires analyzing business needs, communicating with operational stakeholders to clarify requirements, and supporting the introduction of system solutions that enhance operational efficiency. The position monitors local and international banking technology trends and recommends improvements to enhance speed, efficiency, and accuracy of operations. The role also ensures proper archiving of documents in compliance with policies, supports continuous process improvement initiatives, and contributes to cost reduction and productivity enhancement. Additionally, the role involves supervising data analysis to identify operational trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities, as well as preparing statistical and management reports for senior leadership decision-making. The Murex Implementation Manager ensures adherence to safety, quality, and operational governance standards while maintaining system reliability and ensuring high-quality service delivery across banking operations systems.

Key responsibilities
- Implement approved departmental policies, processes, and procedures while ensuring team adherence and compliance with operational standards
- Monitor daily banking system operations to ensure stability, availability, and compliance with SLA requirements
- Ensure completion of all operational tasks within defined timelines while maintaining system performance and service continuity
- Maintain daily system operations including monitoring application stability, batch processing, backups, and disaster recovery readiness
- Communicate with business stakeholders to gather and clarify system and operational requirements for banking applications
- Analyze business needs and support the design and implementation of system solutions aligned with operational requirements
- Monitor global banking technology trends and propose system and process improvements to enhance efficiency and performance
- Ensure proper archiving of operational documents and compliance with internal banking policies and procedures
- Identify process improvement opportunities based on data analysis and operational performance metrics
- Review and prepare statistical and operational reports for senior management decision-making and governance purposes
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards across system operations and IT processes
- Support ad-hoc operational requirements and assignments from business and operations management
Experience & skills
- Experience working in banking operations or financial systems environments
- Understanding of banking application systems and operational workflows
- Knowledge of system stability monitoring, backup management, and disaster recovery processes
- Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into system solutions
- Experience in SLA-based operational environments
- Familiarity with data analysis and reporting in banking or IT systems
- Understanding of process improvement methodologies and operational efficiency frameworks
- Ability to work in system-driven, high-availability banking environments with strict operational controls
