Job description
The Head of LNG Sales Contracts (NFS) is responsible for leading all aspects of liquefied natural gas (LNG) sales contract management, negotiation, and governance to support the companyâs hydrocarbon trading and export operations. The role oversees the full lifecycle of LNG sales contractsâdrafting, reviewing, negotiating, and administering agreements with global buyers and partnersâto ensure alignment with corporate strategy, compliance, and business control frameworks. The position requires deep understanding of LNG market dynamics, marine import/export logistics, and international energy trade structures. The Head will manage contractual risk, ensure adherence to corporate governance and business control standards, and collaborate with legal, commercial, and operational teams to maximize value from LNG sales. This senior leadership role plays a key part in optimizing sales performance, maintaining contractual integrity, and supporting strategic decision-making across the organizationâs LNG business.

- Lead and oversee the development, review, negotiation, and execution of LNG sales contracts in compliance with corporate policies and international standards.
- Manage all commercial and legal aspects of LNG sales agreements, ensuring optimal terms and risk mitigation.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders including legal, finance, and operations to align contract structures with business objectives.
- Ensure all LNG contract activities adhere to corporate governance, compliance, and control frameworks.
- Advise senior management on commercial strategy and contract implications related to LNG market trends.
- Monitor performance of LNG sales agreements and identify opportunities for improvement or renegotiation.
- Provide subject matter expertise on LNG pricing mechanisms, shipping terms, and regulatory obligations.
- Oversee interface with marine logistics teams to ensure smooth execution of import/export operations tied to LNG sales.
- Develop and maintain relationships with buyers, partners, and key stakeholders within the global LNG industry.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of contract management processes, templates, and negotiation strategies.
Experience & skills
- Minimum of 12 years of professional experience, including at least 10 years in hydrocarbon sales contract management within the LNG or broader energy sector.
- Proven track record in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating complex LNG agreements and related commercial documents.
- Strong knowledge of LNG industry operations, market dynamics, and international trade principles.
- Experience managing corporate governance, compliance frameworks, and business control mechanisms.
- Comprehensive understanding of marine import/export operations and related contractual considerations.
- Bachelorâs degree in Engineering, Sciences, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and negotiation skills with attention to contractual detail.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities across multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to operate strategically while ensuring operational and contractual excellence.
- Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional, high-stakes environments within energy trading organizations.
