Job description
GEMS Wellington School Qatar delivers the National Curriculum for England in Doha, part of the wider GEMS Wellington family of schools. High Performance Learning underpins the culture here, alongside evidence-based pedagogy and a consistent emphasis on high expectations. You'll teach Year 6 within the Primary phase, planning, delivering and assessing lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for England and examination specifications. Assessment data plays a real role in this, since progress monitoring feeds directly into driving outstanding student outcomes. Collaboration runs throughout the school, from developing curriculum with colleagues to sharing best practice and contributing to continuous improvement. Partnerships with students, parents and the wider school community sit alongside the classroom work, building the kind of trust that a high performing school depends on. Enrichment activities, co-curricular opportunities and ongoing professional learning round out the role beyond the timetable. You're expected to hold a recognised teaching qualification such as a B.Ed or PGCE with QTS, specialising in Primary, with experience across Upper Key Stage 2. GEMS Education's values and the Wellington ethos carry through every part of the role, from the classroom to the wider school community.
