Job description
The Head of Dealing & Advisory is responsible for leading the Dealing and Advisory proposition across FX, Fixed Income (FI), and Structured Solutions for Private and Retail Bank segments across UAE and EMEA. The role requires ownership of desk compliance and financial performance, as well as the delivery of innovative product and trade ideas to relationship managers, investment advisors, and segment heads. It involves active collaboration with internal stakeholders to drive business growth, strengthen client relationships, support product development, and promote client acquisition initiatives. The incumbent is expected to meet budget targets, provide exceptional sales service, ensure alignment with SCB's market risk procedures and internal governance, and offer regulatory guidance across all product offerings. Key competencies include CMFAS certification (Papers 1A, 5, 6, 6A, 8, 8A), CACS certification, and deep expertise in FX, sales strategy, and compliance frameworks.

Key responsibilities
- Lead Dealing and Advisory across FX, FI, and Structured Solutions for Private and Retail Banking segments
- Meet financial targets and ensure compliance across all trading desks
- Collaborate with Private Bank Relationship Managers, Investment Advisors, and Retail Bank TS to support business and product development
- Drive client acquisition initiatives and prospecting activities
- Create and deliver product and trade ideation materials, presentations, and training
- Promote a wide spectrum of product classes to internal stakeholders and global network
- Explore product, people, and systems enhancements to grow business scope
- Ensure strict adherence to market risk procedures and SCB policies
Experience & skills
- Degree in finance or a technical field preferred
- CMFAS certification (Papers 1A, 5, 6, 6A, 8, 8A) and CACS preferred
- In-depth knowledge of FX business practices and strong sales skills
- Ability to build and grow client base while ensuring best-in-class service
- Proven capacity to drive product sales across multiple classes
- Experience achieving financial targets with adherence to regulatory standards
- Strong interpersonal skills for internal and external stakeholder engagement
