Job description

The BIM Engineer – ELV & ICT (Electrical Systems) at Egis in Dubai is responsible for delivering accurate and detailed BIM models for electrical systems within complex construction and infrastructure projects. The role involves developing parametric models using Revit and related software, producing 2D schematics and single-line diagrams, and generating drawings from BIM models. The BIM Engineer coordinates with architects, structural engineers, and MEP teams to ensure clash-free designs, performing interdisciplinary and interface design coordination using tools such as Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC). Responsibilities include preparing detailed electrical layouts for power, lighting, cable routing, and containment systems, ensuring compliance with local regulations, project specifications, and quality standards. The position also supports quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, coordination drawings, and assists the BIM manager in delivering digital outputs and maintaining seamless information sharing across project teams. Additionally, the role contributes to BIM development efforts, supports junior team members, and helps develop a content library suitable for the MEP team.
