Job description
The Senior Graphic Designer, Marketing & Events role at Masdarâone of the worldâs largest renewable energy and green hydrogen companiesâis a senior creative position within the Brand & Strategic Initiatives business unit. Based in Abu Dhabi and open exclusively to UAE Nationals, this position is responsible for leading the visual design function across marketing, communications, and event initiatives. The role requires the creation of high-impact designs across print, digital, and outdoor media, ensuring brand consistency and alignment with Masdarâs global identity. The designer will conceptualize and produce advertising materials, logos, and project-specific visuals while collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve communication and branding goals. Responsibilities include managing full design lifecycles from concept to completion, overseeing vendor coordination for production, and maintaining a centralized archive of design assets. The Senior Graphic Designer will also contribute to marketing strategy, mentor junior designers, and stay current with emerging design technologies and trends. Masdar, jointly owned by ADNOC, Mubadala, and TAQA, operates across more than 40 countries, driving global sustainability and renewable energy development, making this role central to visually shaping the companyâs sustainability brand narrative.

Key responsibilities
- Create and execute high-quality visual designs for print, digital, and outdoor media platforms.
- Develop and maintain Masdarâs brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all marketing materials.
- Conceptualize and produce logos, advertisements, and creative artworks for various campaigns and initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to brainstorm creative solutions that align with communication and event goals.
- Manage end-to-end design projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure accurate production of all design outputs.
- Stay updated on the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to apply innovative solutions to visual communications.
- Organize and archive design assets, including images, logos, and collateral materials, for efficient retrieval and use.
- Contribute to the development of marketing strategies and event concepts in collaboration with the broader team.
- Mentor and guide junior designers, providing feedback and creative direction to maintain brand integrity.
Experience & skills
- UAE Nationalâmandatory requirement for this role.
- Bachelorâs degree in Graphic Design or a related discipline.
- 8â10 years of experience in graphic design, particularly within marketing and events.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Adobe Flash.
- Strong skills in animation and motion graphics design.
- Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.
- Proven experience in brand development and the creation of cohesive brand guidelines.
- Excellent project management skills, including time management and task prioritization.
- High attention to detail with the ability to deliver within tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience designing for various media including print, digital, and outdoor advertising formats.
- Familiarity with UAE cultural aesthetics and design preferences.
- Creative, self-motivated, and able to work collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment.
