Job description
Mastercard’s Advisors & Consulting Services team is seeking a Senior Managing Consultant for Retail & Commerce. This role focuses on leading complex consulting engagements, primarily in the retail and airline sectors, leveraging Mastercard’s data and technology to deliver strategic insights and recommendations. The consultant will own senior client relationships, guide teams through complex problem solving, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to scope projects and deliver impactful business solutions. This position requires strong leadership, business acumen, and the ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities
- Lead complex client engagements across industries, focusing on airlines and retail.
- Develop strategies and programs for regional and global clients using data and technology solutions.
- Own senior client relationships from mid-level to C-suite.
- Serve as a trusted client advisor and advocate for Mastercard’s recommendations.
- Guide teams to deliver business-focused solutions and recommendations.
- Motivate delivery teams to produce high-quality deliverables in a collaborative environment.
- Manage relationships with internal Mastercard stakeholders to scope projects and create client solutions.
- Lead on-the-job training, coaching, and mentorship for team members.
- Identify new business opportunities and lead proposal development and scoping.
- Generate new knowledge and innovative solutions for the firm.
Experience & skills
- Undergraduate degree with relevant work experience in consulting, corporate strategy, business intelligence, business line management, or product management.
- Experience leading large, strategic consulting engagements involving structured problem solving and stakeholder management.
- Proven ability to manage senior client relationships.
- Deep understanding of business KPIs, financials, and organizational leadership.
- Experience in business development, including proposal development and opportunity scoping.
- Logical, structured thinking with strong numerical analysis skills.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to lead multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Fluent in English and local office language.
- Eligibility to work in the UAE and ability to travel as required.
- Preferred: Relevant industry expertise and MBA or master’s degree.
