Job description
Sovereign investors, asset owners and fund managers across the region make up the core client base for Oliver Wyman's Insurance & Asset Management practice in Dubai. Engagements cover portfolio and asset allocation strategy, investment operating model and governance design, deal screening and commercial diligence, and the build-out of newly established investment platforms. Much of your work involves breaking complex problems into discrete tasks and pointing junior consultants toward the elements that matter most. Planning and executing the analysis sits with you, as does identifying the core issues that shape the final recommendations. Clients will see you working side by side with their teams, and you will manage small project teams to keep delivery moving. The wider practice advises top regional banks, ministries of finance, insurance platforms and funds including SWF, pension and hedge funds, private equity and venture capital. Relevant experience of 4 to 5 years is expected, ideally at a top-tier strategy consulting firm, along with a background in investment advisory, sovereign wealth funds, asset management or institutional investments. Direct exposure to capital deployment, asset allocation or investment operating model work will count in your favour. Fluency in English and Arabic is required, and travel is part of the job.
