Job description
Salla's largest merchants, holding companies, multi-brand groups, franchises, and cross-border operators, have grown past what the core platform serves out of the box, and this Staff Product Manager role exists to build the dedicated enterprise layer those accounts now need. You will define what enterprise means at Salla in terms of needs rather than labels, covering multi-storefront operation, multi-entity permissioning, headless and API-driven operations, service-level reliability commitments, and merchants running several markets from one account. A dedicated enterprise engineering pod reports into this role as its one accountable product owner, and the position feeds directly into commercial decisions about which capabilities justify the enterprise tier and where that line sits. One tension has to be held permanently: enterprise complexity gets met through extensible platform capability, never through bespoke one-offs that fork the codebase. Four domains anchor the scope of impact: enterprise strategy and packaging, delivery through the dedicated pod, multi-market capability spanning multi-currency and multi-tax including ZATCA and Gulf equivalents, and agent and API readiness for emerging agentic commerce protocols. Discovery with enterprise merchants gets converted into evidenced, defensible requirement sets rather than assumptions. Enterprise-grade capability ships across multi-storefront, headless and API-first operation, role-based access and approvals, and reliability at scale. Success metrics for the enterprise segment get owned jointly with the data team, covering capability adoption, net revenue retention contribution, enterprise win rate, and time-to-value for complex onboarding.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Own the strategy and roadmap for the enterprise segment, prioritized by retention and expansion impact
- Run deep discovery with enterprise merchants and convert complexity into an evidenced, defensible requirement set
- Lead the dedicated enterprise engineering pod as its one accountable product owner across discovery, specification, prioritization, execution, and release
- Ship enterprise-grade capability including multi-storefront, headless and API-first operation, role-based access and approvals, and reliability at scale
- Deliver the capabilities that let one merchant run multiple markets from one account, including multi-currency, multi-tax compliance, and per-market payment rails
- Feed capability and feature-gating decisions into enterprise packaging, including where rate limits sit
- Guard against platform forking by meeting enterprise needs through reusable capability
- Track enterprise success metrics with the data team, covering capability adoption, net revenue retention, and enterprise win rate
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate proven ownership of an enterprise or top tier on a multi-tenant software or commerce platform, with retention or expansion metrics delivered
- Bring deep hands-on fluency in at least two of multi-storefront architecture, headless and API-first commerce, role-based access and approval systems, or multi-currency and multi-tax operation
- Show a track record converting messy enterprise discovery into prioritized requirements that engineering respected
- Exercise commercial packaging judgment, deciding which capabilities gate a tier and where rate limits sit
- Operate as the single product owner for a dedicated engineering pod across two-to-four-quarter horizons
- Favor platform capability over bespoke delivery, with a real example of saying no to a large account
- Apply a strong analytical mindset, comfortable instrumenting segment economics per account
- Carry six or more years in product management, with exposure to agentic commerce protocols or building for AI agents as a plus
- Speak Arabic and English with full professional fluency and be willing to relocate to Saudi Arabia
