Job description
The role of Cash & Fixed Income Operations Expert focuses on ensuring efficient, accurate, and compliant processing of post-trade cash and fixed income transactions. The candidate will act as a subject matter expert on clearing and settlement systems, leading enhancements to workflows and automation to drive operational efficiency and reduce risk. Responsibilities span across the lifecycle of fixed income instruments, including settlements, interest payments, redemptions, and corporate actions, as well as supporting clearing members and financial institutions. The expert will also contribute to regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and modernization projects in line with industry standards and evolving technologies.

Key responsibilities
- Act as a system expert for clearing and settlement platforms, recommending and implementing automation and workflow enhancements.
- Ensure accurate and timely clearing and settlement of cash and fixed income transactions with custodians, market participants, and agents.
- Oversee lifecycle events for fixed income instruments, including interest payments, redemptions, and corporate actions.
- Monitor operational risks and assist in mitigation strategies and risk reporting.
- Ensure compliance with market regulations, central bank protocols, and internal policies.
- Provide technical and operational support to clearing members and financial institutions.
- Contribute to industry projects and working groups focused on modernization of clearing and settlement.
- Advise on departmental strategy and ensure vertical and horizontal alignment within the organization.
- Support divisional leadership with expert opinions and recommendations.
- Recommend tools and methodologies to improve governance and monitoring.
- Promote policy adherence and procedural compliance within the division.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar is required; Masterās degree preferred.
- Professional certifications are preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in post-trade operations focused on cash and fixed income securities.
- Understanding of financial market infrastructure and securities clearing and settlement cycles.
- Experience handling fixed income lifecycle events such as interest, redemptions, and corporate actions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive approach to process improvement and risk mitigation.
- Excellent communication skills to support stakeholders and clearing members.
