Job description
The Test Engineer L3 at Wipro in Dubai is responsible for preparing and executing test cases for products, platforms, or solutions to ensure full compliance with quality assurance standards. The role involves understanding test requirements, designing and authoring test plans based on business and testable requirements, implementing Wipro's model-based testing methodology, and automating testing processes using VB macros, GUI automation, and other tools. The engineer ensures peer-reviewed test cases, tracks defects with clear replication steps, maintains compliance with SLAs, executes user acceptance testing (UAT), designs and releases test dashboards, and provides feedback on usability and serviceability. The position requires ongoing communication with customers and stakeholders, timely reporting, and updates of efforts in project trackers like eCube and TMS, maintaining high standards in testing execution and customer interaction.

Key responsibilities
- Prepare test cases and perform testing of products, platforms, or solutions to ensure adherence to quality standards
- Author test plans based on business requirements and testable requirements
- Implement model-based testing methodology to achieve efficient test generation
- Ensure peer review of test cases and minimize rework
- Collaborate with development teams to identify and capture test cases and ensure version control
- Define test scope, criteria, parameters, and participate in UAT
- Design and execute automation frameworks, including VB macros and GUI automation
- Develop and automate tests for software validation, including environment setup and execution of test scenarios
- Detect defects, prepare defect reports, and track test progress
- Release test status dashboards at the end of each cycle and communicate to stakeholders
- Provide feedback on usability and serviceability, and trace results to quality risks
- Maintain quality customer interactions, timely reporting, and adherence to SLAs
- Update accurate effort logs in eCube, TMS, and other project trackers
Experience & skills
- Proficiency in test case design, test planning, and model-based testing
- Experience with automation frameworks, GUI automation, and VB macros
- Knowledge of software validation, UAT, and defect management
- Ability to design test environments and execute test scenarios
- Strong skills in dashboard reporting, metrics tracking, and quality assurance
- Familiarity with Wipro SLAs, eCube, and Test Management Systems (TMS)
- Excellent customer focus and communication skills for reporting and issue resolution
