Dubai Central Laboratory approval is the starting point for this Stantec position, which checks that materials on water and drainage infrastructure projects meet contract specifications and local authority requirements. Projects span stormwater and drainage, flood alleviation, wastewater networks and water distribution networks. Contractor material submittals for civil and piping work land with you for review. Where materials fall short, non-conformance reports are raised, corrective actions agreed and responses coordinated. Material specification reports and asset condition assessments are also part of the job, along with site investigations and feasibility studies. Quality inspections follow ISO9000 quality systems and ISO9001 2018, while Construction Design Management principles guide safe design. Some of the work involves liaising with Stantec teams in other parts of the world, as well as with internal and external clients. You will report to the Assistant Resident Engineer and help with project administration, from drafting correspondence to tracking costs and preparing progress reports. At least 10 years on infrastructure projects, ideally including utility diversions, is required.
