Job description
The Senior Specialist SAP Functional - Procurement at OQ in Muscat is responsible for providing end-to-end SAP MM/WM functional support within the Corporate IDS function under the People & Technology stream. The role ensures effective configuration, customization, and optimization of SAP MM/WM functionalities to meet procurement, inventory management, and material valuation requirements. This position supports the design, development, and maintenance of SAP procurement programs while integrating with other SAP modules such as FI, CO, PS, PM, SD, PP, and FM. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting system issues, coordinating with vendors, leading root cause analyses, conducting testing and user training, and ensuring seamless integration with external systems through SAP Integration Hub (CPI). The Senior Specialist will act as a subject matter expert (SME), providing user guidance, preparing documentation, and leading optimization initiatives aligned with OQ’s clean core methodology. The role also involves implementing fit-to-standard SAP solutions, supporting Oman localization (taxation and e-invoicing), and contributing to continuous process improvement and automation in procurement and inventory management. Reporting to the Manager SAP FICO, this position operates in an office-based environment with occasional field visits and intensive computer usage.
