Job description
As an Assistant Manager – Transfer Pricing (ITTS) in EY’s Dubai tax practice, you will operate within a GCC-spanning professional team of around 50 specialists across corporate tax, transfer pricing, personal tax, law, VAT, and customs, managing clients and large projects, leading transfer pricing strategies, handling audits and documentation, advising on international tax matters, and mentoring junior team members. The role requires an understanding of complex transfer pricing concepts and broad exposure to transfer pricing issues, strong organizational, analytical, and verbal/written communication skills, and the ability to take ownership of tasks and proactively contribute day-to-day in a dynamic, solution-focused environment. You will contribute within EY’s integrated tax services model that combines deep expertise with advanced technology to help clients navigate change, make informed decisions, and stay compliant with international tax laws, leveraging transformative tools to manage tax strategy, operations, and workforce needs while reducing risk and driving long-term value within a collaborative culture that offers flexibility to shape your workday.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Manage clients and large projects within the transfer pricing sub-service line, leading transfer pricing strategies and overseeing engagement delivery across GCC markets.
- Handle transfer pricing audits and documentation and advise clients on international tax matters in alignment with applicable international tax laws.
- Collaborate with corporate tax, personal tax, law, VAT, and customs specialists to deliver integrated tax services and solutions.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, providing day-to-day guidance and quality review on analyses and deliverables.
- Contribute proactively to a dynamic, solution-focused environment by taking ownership of tasks and adapting to evolving transfer pricing needs.
- Support the development of proposals and presentations, and participate in client relationship management to drive project opportunities.
Experience & skills
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar transfer pricing role, either within another audit house or an in-house transfer pricing section.
- Understanding of complex transfer pricing concepts with broad exposure to transfer pricing issues.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and verbal/written communication skills.
- Professional and educational qualifications including MSc in Business Administration and Commercial Law, MSc in Business Administration and Auditing, or Master of Laws.
- Proficiency in Arabic (ideal) and prior professional services experience (ideal).
- Motivation to operate in a rapidly changing industry with the ability to prioritize shifting workloads and collaborate effectively across teams.
