Job description
Handover to operations is the finish line for this PMC Specialist Commissioning Engineer, and everything before it, from mechanical completion checks to plant start-up, has to be safe, efficient and on time. Wood is supporting a high-profile client in Abu Dhabi, and the commissioning, start-up and system handover plans are yours to develop and implement. Pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities are coordinated across every discipline. Mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and process systems are tested under your supervision once mechanical completion has been verified. Commissioning procedures, test packs and operational readiness documentation all come to you for review. Technical issues get resolved with engineering, construction, operations, vendors and contractors, while progress tracking flags risks early enough to correct them. Performance testing and integrated system testing lead into start-up, and commissioning reports and records are kept complete along the way. Commissioning personnel also rely on you for technical guidance and mentoring. Candidates typically bring 15+ years in commissioning, start-up, operations or project execution across oil and gas, LNG, petrochemicals, refining or energy, with EPC/PMC experience and strong knowledge of completion management systems.
