Job description
Deloitte Middle East is hiring an Assistant Manager for its Assurance team in Riyadh. The role involves delivering exceptional client service through accounting advisory engagements and technical audit support. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of IFRS, experience in complex accounting transactions, consolidations, and IFRS transitions. They will work closely with engagement leaders and support client strategy execution. Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Provide exceptional and timely client service and deliver high quality audit and advisory work.
- Conduct in-depth IFRS research and apply critical thinking to complex matters.
- Support accounting advisory projects, including consolidations, reorganizations, IFRS transitions, and application of new standards.
- Assist in execution of account strategies in coordination with engagement leaders.
- Engage in discussions with engagement leaders regarding client needs and industry trends.
- Support planning and execution of various client projects.
- Maintain positive and professional client and colleague relationships.
- Build understanding of Deloitteās values and act as a brand ambassador.
- Demonstrate accountability, relationship-building, and communication skills.
- Understand how daily tasks contribute to team and business goals.
Experience & skills
- Degree in Accounting or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in public auditing and accounting, preferably in a Big Four firm.
- Experience in technical accounting advisory engagements is desired.
- Strong report writing, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and with diverse teams across all levels.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize tasks.
- International accounting qualification preferred (CA, ACCA, or CPA).
- Fluent in English; bilingual (Arabic/English) candidates preferred.
